We offer many housing solutions at NB Housing. As well as general needs accommodation for singles, couples and families, we have sheltered accommodation at Holyrood House, supported living at McCorry House and for our young homeless clients, and accommodation-based support services at Flax Foyer.

Our Accommodation Types

General Needs Accommodation

We are a housing association based in North Belfast with offices located on Flax Street and Crumlin Road.

With a portfolio of over 1100 properties, we provide a range of accommodation types for tenants to make their home. Properties are located across Belfast and surrounding areas such as Carrickfergus, Lisburn, Newtownabbey and as far as Donaghadee, Newtownards, Ballymena and Coalisland.

Of our total stock approximately 1000 general needs properties provide one-bedroom accommodation for single tenants right up to five bedrooms homes for families.

Accommodation for Wheelchair Users

We have a number of wheelchair accessible properties across our stock. These are located in our apartment buildings and in adapted properties.

Supported Accommodation

We have two supported housing schemes for older tenants requiring some support to live independently.

Holy Rood House offers a secure environment in a much sought-after location. Located at 30 Flax Street in North Belfast, the scheme comprises of 34 units of accommodation for older residents. Facilities within the scheme include a communal lounge, laundry room, communal tea kitchen, hairdressing room, guest room and gardens. Our tenant support worker provides support to residents when required and assists in the organisation of tenant engagement events to encourage social activity.

Mc Corry House, also located on Flax Street, provides 30 one-bedroom apartments for over 55’s. Our tenant support worker also provides a support service to our tenants in this scheme.

Young Peoples Accommodation

Young People’s Accommodation
Flax Foyer, located at 16 Flax Street in Belfast provides temporary accommodation and support for young people aged between 18 -24 years old who are experiencing homelessness. The scheme offers 36 furnished one-bedroom apartments, a common room, onsite laundry facilities, communal kitchen area and computer suite.

Our team of support workers are available 24/7 to assist residents with their search for employment, training and to make plans for permanent housing. Each resident has an individualised support plan with targets set to meet goals to empower residents to become socially and economically active.

Vulnerable Family Accommodation

NB Housing provides 11, 2-bedroom houses and apartments at the Thorndale Lifehouse Centre , working in partnership with the Salvation Army who provide support to vulnerable homeless families.
